Features

Access control for every project

Invite your team, assign the right roles, and keep the knowledge base under control. Every project is isolated and has its own members.

Three roles, clear permissions

Every member gets access to exactly what they need, nothing more.

Owner

Automatically assigned to the project creator. Full control over everything.

  • Read and edit the project and its topics
  • Invite new members by email
  • Change the role of existing members
  • Remove members from the project
  • Manage the project API keys
Editor

For those who actively contribute to the knowledge base.

  • Read and edit the project and its topics
  • Create, update and deactivate topics
  • Cannot invite new members
  • Cannot manage API keys
Viewer

For those who only need read access.

  • Read the project and its topics
  • Cannot modify anything
  • Cannot invite new members

How invites work

You can invite anyone, even if they don't have an account yet.

01

Enter an email

The Owner enters the collaborator's email address and chooses the role to assign (Editor or Viewer).

02

Invite stays pending

If the user doesn't have an meridiaan account yet, the invite remains pending. The user doesn't need to exist beforehand.

03

Automatic acceptance

When the user signs up with that email, the invite is automatically accepted and they immediately get access with the assigned role.

Isolation

Every project, its own circle

A user can be a member of multiple projects with different roles. Memberships are completely isolated: being an Editor on one project gives no access to any other.

Use separate projects for different clients, teams, or environments: data never mixes.

Project Beta

Bring your team to meridiaan.

One source of truth, accessible to everyone with the right role.
